Higer Abdallah, FNP is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner who started her higher education in 2009, receiving her nursing degree from Long Island University in 2014. She immediately started at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center inpatient medical/surgical units and transitioned to acute-care and trauma, where she received her certifications in critical care and stroke.
She transferred to Stony Brook-Southampton Hospital, wherein she soon joined the OR staff. Higer concurrently worked and attended full-time Nurse Practitioner School at Long Island University, and at graduation in 2020 was awarded the university’s highest award across all of its graduate programs.
In 2018, Higer developed an affiliation with an international surgical mission team (LIICR), of whom she became the clinical coordinator for operative services. This involved fundraising, procuring medical supplies, and executing and supervising voluntary nursing services abroad. Higer is trilingual in English, Spanish and Arabic. Her academic aptitudes, diverse experience, work ethic, and leadership skills make her a versatile and vital team member.
