A native New Yorker, Dr Mehta graduated with a medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2005. His post-graduate training included Internal Medicine Residency at Brown University in Providence, RI. He completed his Fellowship at the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at New York Presbyterian Hospital/ Weill Cornell Medical Center in 2010. This also included training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and the Rogosin Institute, NY.
Before joining Suffolk Nephrology Consultants in 2017, Dr. Mehta was in private Nephrology practice in the local area. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and is on staff at Stony Brook University Hospital, John T. Mather Memorial Hospital, St. Charles Hospital, and St. Catherine of Siena Hospital. Dr. Mehta is interested in all aspects of Nephrology, including inpatient and outpatient management of acute and chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and kidney transplant management.
