Primary Care Physician and Geriatrician Dr. Mickel Khlat Joins NYH

New York Health is proud to announce the addition of board-certified primary care and geriatrics physician Dr. Mickel Khlat. Dr. Khlat will see patients at 267 East Main Street, Smithtown, NY 11787.

Dr. Khlat has extensive experience in the primary care and geriatrics field and is dedicated to giving his patients the best care possible. Welcome aboard, Dr. Khlat,” said Dr. Chris Ng, Chief Medical Officer and Executive Director of NY Health. 

Dr. Khlat approaches patient care by actively listening to his patients and showing empathy, enabling him to deliver outstanding clinical care and an exceptional patient experience.

“I am dedicated to significantly impacting patients' lives by providing world-class service and evidence-based clinical care,” said Dr. Khlat. 

Dr. Khlat earned his medical degree from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internship, internal medicine residency, and geriatric medicine fellowship at Winthrop University Hospital. He previously served as chief medical officer for St. Catherine’s of Siena Hospital. Dr. Khlat speaks English and Arabic. Outside the office, he enjoys listening to music and vinyl albums.
