New York Health Welcomes Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician, Dr. Myrta Isabel Olivera-Dubón
New York Health (NY Health) proudly announces the addition of Dr. Myrta Isabel Olivera-Dubón, a board-certified family medicine physician dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care. Beginning September 8, 2026, Dr. Olivera-Dubón will be practicing at NY Health’s office located at 1377 5th Ave, Bay Shore, NY 11706.

Dr. Olivera-Dubón’s expertise further strengthens our mission of providing high-quality care to the communities we serve.”
Dr. Olivera-Dubón is committed to preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and improving patient outcomes through individualized treatment and patient education. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell Glen Cove Hospital, where she pursued specialty training in obesity medicine and aesthetic medicine. Throughout her career, she participated in numerous community service initiatives and volunteer programs focused on improving public health.
Dr. Olivera-Dubón earned her Doctor of Medicine from Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine after completing her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Spanish literature at The George Washington University. Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico,
Dr. Olivera-Dubón is fluent in both English and Spanish and is passionate about providing culturally competent care to patients from diverse backgrounds.

Throughout her training, Dr. Olivera-Dubón contributed to clinical research focused on hereditary colorectal cancer, cancer genetics, and health disparities, resulting in multiple peer-reviewed publications and presentations. She also served on her residency program’s Diabetes, Clinic, and Wellness Committees and remains committed to advancing patient care through research, quality improvement, and community service.
