New York Health Welcomes Urologist Dr. Patrick Yong to its Practice
New York, NY – September 2, 2025 – New York Health (NY Health), the premier healthcare center for primary and specialty care services, is proud to announce the addition of urologist Dr. Patrick Yong to its New York City team at 139 Centre Street, Suite 620, New York, NY 10013. Dr. Yong will begin seeing patients on September 2, 2025.
Dr. Yong completed his residency in urology at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he gained extensive training in general urology, including urologic oncology, kidney stone disease, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and prosthetics. He earned both his Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health in Biostatistics from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Art History and Biochemistry from the prestigious Yale University.
An accomplished researcher, Dr. Yong has authored multiple first-author publications in leading journals such as Chest, Thorax, and the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism. His research has focused on surgical outcomes, lung cancer screening optimization, and transgender health, including the creation of one of the largest institutional transgender patient databases at Mount Sinai.
Beyond his clinical and academic expertise, Dr. Yong is deeply committed to advancing health equity and culturally responsive care. He has served marginalized communities locally and abroad, from leading HIV/AIDS outreach in Uganda to building Mandarin-language health programs in Chinatown. At NYCBS, he plans to expand LGBTQ+ inclusive clinical services and mentor the next generation of diverse physician-leaders.
