APP of the Year Award

The American Society for Pain and Neuroscience (ASPN) is excited to honor Kristen Klein, AGNP-C, as the recipient of the APP of the Year Award for her outstanding contributions to pain management and dedication to advanced practice.

As the lead nurse practitioner at NY Spine & Pain Specialists in Port Jefferson, NY, Kristen Klein delivers cutting-edge, minimally invasive therapies to patients with diverse pain conditions. With over a decade of experience, Kristen began her career as an RN in surgical critical care and trauma before earning her Master of Nursing from Stony Brook University, specializing in Adult Gerontology.

Kristen is an active member of professional societies, including the NANS APP Committee, ASPN, and Business of Pain, and serves as an APP course director for the NYNJSIPP Congress and WIPM societies. Her passion for education and collaboration is evident in her presentations and training on pain management, patient identification, and interventional procedures.

A dedicated educator and leader, Kristen enjoys writing and networking with advanced practice providers nationwide, fostering innovation and excellence in pain management.
