NY Health Nephrologists – What We Do

We offer the following services at NY Health Nephrologists:

  • diagnosis and treatment of acute kidney disease (sudden loss of kidney function)
  • diagnosis and treatment of chronic kidney disease (loss of kidney function over time)
  • kidney disease education as part of our chronic kidney disease clinic
  • management of anemia in chronic kidney disease (Epogen injections and I.V. Iron injections)
  • renal osteodystrophy, secondary hyperparathyroidism and vitamin D deficiency (abnormalities of Calcium, Phosphorus and vitamin D metabolism)
  • electrolyte (Sodium, Potassium) and fluid imbalances
  • management of resistant hypertension, evaluation of white coat syndrome, including 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM)
  • post kidney transplantation follow-up
  • medical treatment/prevention of kidney stones
  • proteinuria (loss of protein in the urine)
  • hematuria (blood in the urine)
  • dialysis-related care (in-center hemodialysis, home hemodialysis, and peritoneal dialysis)
  • kidney ultrasound, and other kidney-related radiology studies
