Lauren B. Schulz, DO, FACOS is a board-certified urologist and native New Yorker based out of New York City. Dr. Schulz is one of only 500 female urologists in the world and the first female urologist to join New York Health. She has over ten years of diverse urologic experience catering to the unique needs of men and women.

Dr. Schulz has a strong interest in sexual medicine and the diagnosis and treatment of men and women with sexual health concerns, helping her patients improve their quality of life.

She has been expertly trained in general urology and urological surgery, specializing in women’s health and female urological disorders. Her areas of expertise include advanced treatments targeting prostate health, urologic oncology, sexual and voiding dysfunction, in-office vasectomies, kidney stones, and urinary tract infection management and prevention. 

Dr. Schulz completed her undergraduate studies at Stony Brook University before attending New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. While completing her medical studies, Dr. Schulz earned a Master of Science degree and Pre-Doctoral Academic Medicine Fellowship at The New York Institute of Technology. She was elected to the National Osteopathic Honor Society, Psi Sigma Alpha, and earned a coveted urology residency at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.

Her training included formative experiences in Urologic Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Pediatric Urology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and Urogynecology at Hahnemann University Hospital. 

Dr. Schulz is a Fellow of the American College Of Osteopathic Surgeons and an active member of the American Urological Association, International Society For The Study Of Women’s Sexual Health, Society for Women in Urology, American Osteopathic Association, and American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. Her research has been presented at professional society meetings and published in scholarly journals. 

She is an attending Urologist at Lenox Hill Hospital and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Urology at Weill Cornell Medical College. She is affiliated with New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center and Lenox Hill Hospital.

Dhanan Etwaru, M.D.

Dhanan Etwaru, MD is a board-certified urologist with over twenty years of experience.

He is the Chairman of Urology at The Brooklyn Hospital Center. Dr. Etwaru received his Medical Doctorate in 1986 from SUNY Stony Brook, School of Medicine. 

After graduating from Stony Brook, he completed a medical residency at NYU Winthrop Hospital and a urology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. In addition to urology, he is board-certified in internal medicine. Prior to joining NY Health, Dr. Etwaru was affiliated with ProHEALTH and Integrated Medical Professionals.

Alexander Lipyansky, M.D.

Alexander Lipyansky, MD is a board-certified urologist. He is affiliated with SUNY Downstate University Hospital and The Brooklyn Hospital Center. 

In 2001, Dr. Lipyanksky graduated with his Medical Doctorate from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine and completed his residency program in urology at SUNY Brooklyn (Downstate) College of Medicine.

Prior to joining New York Health, Dr. Lipyansky practiced at Mt. Sinai Brooklyn Heights Medical Group, TBHC Physician Services, PC, and Integrated Medical Professionals PLLC.

Natan Davoudzadeh, M.D.

Dr. Natan Davoudzadeh is a skilled and compassionate board-certified urologist who relentlessly strives for the exceptional care of his patients. He treats patients for general urologic conditions including hematuria, kidney stone disease, enlarged prostate, low testosterone, overactive bladder, and erectile dysfunction. He also has vast experience in treating all kinds of urologic cancers including bladder cancer, prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and testicular cancer using the most modern and minimally invasive techniques.

He is skilled and experienced in Urolift.

He graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors from Brandeis University with a double major in neuroscience and biology. He then received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, graduating in the top 1% of his class, and being awarded the Endowed Honor Scholarship for excellent academic performance. He completed his residency in general surgery and urology at the prestigious Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed a unique and prestigious fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital specializing in Advanced Robotic and Minimally Invasive Surgery.

Dr. Davoudzadeh is currently affiliated with North Shore University Hospital, Mount Sinai Beth Israel, Metropolitan Lithotriptor Associates, PC, and South Nassau Communities Hospital.

Dr. Davoudzadeh is a member of multiple prestigious local and national societies including the American College of Surgeons, American Urological Association, and the American Association of Clinical Urologists. He also serves as a State Trooper/Police Surgeon. He has authored several publications and book chapters concerning various urological disorders and robotic surgical therapies.

Dr. Davoudzadeh will be working at New York Health’s Forest Hills,  Lawrence, and Massapequa locations.

Ivan Colón, M.D.

Dr. Ivan Colón is a skilled and experienced board-certified urologist. He served as Chief of Robotics and Advanced Laparoscopic Urology and Local Residency Program Director at New York Methodist Hospital. In addition, Dr. Colón served as Chief of Urology at University Hospital of Brooklyn and Vice Chairman of Urology at SUNY Downstate Medical School.

Dr. Colón received his undergraduate degree and his Medical Degree from the University of Wisconsin. Post medical-school, Dr. Colón completed his Internship at Loyola Medical Center in Illinois. He then served as Chief Resident of Urology at Brookdale University, receiving the Outstanding Resident of the Year Award and the Pfizer Scholars in Urology Award. His Fellowship in laparoscopy and minimally invasive urological surgery was completed at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in California.

Dr. Colón is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology. He has been recognized as one of Castle Connolly’s Top doctors twice, has received the Patients’ Choice Award, and was inducted to the New York Methodist’s Hall of Fame.

Dr. Colón’s areas of expertise include: da Vinci Robotic surgery, laparoscopy, endourology, stone and oncologic diseases, general and minimally invasive urology. He is an expert in robotics and minimally invasive treatment of Prostate, Adrenal and Kidney diseases (including cancer). Dr Colon is also an expert in issues involving overall male health, erectile dysfunction, penile implants and treatment of benign prostate enlargement with Urolift and other in-office minimally invasive procedures.

Brent Yanke M.D.

Dr. Brent Yanke is a fellowship trained urologist in minimally invasive techniques who has been practicing since 2007 in New Jersey and Brooklyn. He has completed well over 1,000 robotic cases, treating diseases such as prostate, kidney and bladder cancer as well as urinary tract reconstruction. His expertise also lies in endourologic surgery treating complex stone disease as well as focusing on the prevention of future kidney stones. Other endoscopic diseases treated include ureteral, renal pelvis, and bladder cancer as well as benign prostatic hypertrophy.

For the past five years, Dr Yanke has trained urology residents from several programs, winning teacher of the year at SUNY Downstate in 2016.

Dr. Yanke earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania and his Master’s Degree in Public Health at Columbia University. In 2000, Dr. Yanke earned his Medical Degree at Stony Brook, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Honor Society. He then completed his residency at SUNY Downstate, followed by the completion of the Bard-Bagley Fellowship at the Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine.

Dr. Yanke has been involved in several fields of research, working at SUNY Stony Brook, UC San Diego, USC Norris Cancer Center, and University of Pennsylvania.

He is skilled and experienced in Urolift (Click here for more).

He has been an author of articles across several urologic journals as well as written book chapters in several texts.

He is currently a diplomat of the American Board of Urology, and is an active member of the American Urological Association.
