Karin is an AANP board certified Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner at Pain Institute of Long Island. She originally attended Binghamton University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Karin then went on to obtain a Master's in Psychology from Hunter College where she focused on neuroscience research. Realizing her passion for working directly with patients she pursued her interest in nursing, graduating with honors from Binghamton University and then later with an MSN from Adelphi University. Karin has worked as an RN in various settings including psychiatry, substance abuse and orthopedics. Her time spent as an orthopedic nurse at Hospital for Special Surgery inspired her to pursue a career in pain management.
